4B Station

Ranch is in Lane County southeast of Eugene, OR.  Located 5 minutes off of I-5

We are a small family owned ranch.  Mark W. Brink is not only the owner but is also the ranch foreman, fence builder, hay farmer, and any other jobs that need done around the ranch.   We named the ranch 4B because there are four of us in the Brink family (we have two adult sons). The Murray Grey cattle originated in Australia and their word for ranch is Station.  Thus, we are 4B Station!

We bought the property in 2003, built a house, and began building our herd in 2006.  Our first Murray Grey was a bull named Scruffy (see photo below). He was the friendliest bull you will ever find and it was because of Scruffy that we decided to build a herd of these amazing animals.

4B Station is located just east of Eugene, Oregon in the small community of Pleasant Hill.  The ranch has two creeks that cross the property on the way to the Coast Fork of the Willamette River.  Below is a picture of Papenfus Creek as it meanders through the ranch.  The Willamette Valley receives an average yearly rainfall of over 50 inches.

With that much rain and our good soil we are able to grow and harvest enough hay to feed our herd for the few months of the year that there is not enough grass for them to graze
